Charity Application Procedures & Schedule

About Tokyo Marathon Charity

This is an initiative to expand the circle of charity activities through the Tokyo Marathon. You can support this initiative by making donations. Those who donate to Charity Runner, may be selected as a Charity Runner and asked to promote the charity activities while participating in the event.

Charity Runner Eligibility

  • Registration as a charity runner (entry) is optional.

  • Eligibility for the Tokyo Marathon 2024: Must be at least 19 years of age on the race day. Be capable of completing the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Eligibility for participants as a Charity runner include fulfilling all other requirements and regulations applicable to general marathon participants.

Make a Donation (Suggested Donation Amount)

  • Charity Runner: 100,000 yen or more per Charity Runner

  • Donation only: 1,000 yen or more

Number of Family House’s charity runners to be recruited

  • 130 people

Schedule

For those who only wish to donate

Check the charity runner application page of the Family House and select a program to donate.

  1. Apply from the charity donation system.

    Application Entry Period：Jun. 26(Mon) until Aug. 31 (Thu), 5:00p.m.(JST).

  2. Make a donation by PayPal.

    Donation payment period: Jun. 26 (Mon) until Aug. 31 (Thu), 2023.

Charity Runner Applicants who wish to make a donation application and also wish to run the event as a Charity Runner.

Check the charity runner application page of the Family House and select a program to donate.

  1. Apply from the charity donation system.

    Application Entry Period：Jun. 26 (Mon) until Jul. 13 (Thu), 5:00p.m.(JST).

  2. The charity organization selects runners and notifies them to make donation.

    Notification date: Jul. 14 (Fri) until Jul. 19 (Wed), 2023.

  3. Make a donation by PayPal.

    Donation payment period: Jul. 14 (Fri) until Jul. 28 (Fri), 2023.

  4. Complete the entry registration as a charity runner.

    *In addition to donations, the Tokyo Marathon 2024 event fee will also be charged.

    Runner Entry Period: Aug. 1 (Tue) until Aug. 10 (Thu), 5:00p.m(JST)

    Entry Fee Payment Period: Aug. 1 (Tue) until Aug. 10 (Thu), 2023.

  5. Runner Registration

    EXPO period: Feb.29(Thu) – Mar. 2(Sat),2024.

  6. Tokyo Marathon 2024 Race Day

    Mar. 3 (Sun), 2024.

How to select a Family House charity runner

  • The selection will be made based on the content of the “Thoughts / Messages for Charity” that are required at the time of application.

Hospitality

  • Access to the exclusive lounge for charity runners after the finish.（provinsial)

  • Our gift for a charity runner: participation commemorative T-shirts.
